I’m done with Facebook

That’s it! I’m done! Tada! However this decision isn’t because of the latest Cambridge Analytica screw-up nor am I concerned about my data privacy. I believe if I have gone to the extent of posting any data (images or information) online it is for the world and eventually can and might be used against me. Hence we all need to be a little careful of what we post.

The Job Hunt

Are you new to the Australian job market? Waiting for a break? Have you been applying to one too many organisations and haven’t heard back yet? Are you doing the right things though and do you have the right expectations?

As the title says – ‘The Job Hunt’ – It is truly a hunt as it takes time, patience, hard work and several failures. For those who have every tried to hunt will know what I mean.

Just Landed

Have you just landed here down under or in the process of planning your move? Are you preparing a checklist or making mental notes of the things that you will have to do once you land? I’m sure everyone does this and at some point it all might just sound too overwhelming or complicated and can have some really unforeseen surprises that may impact our plans. This is my attempt at documenting my experience and information that may help you in making a list of possible DO’s and DONT’s once you are here.

Migrating to Australia

Here is my initial attempt at documenting the migration process to Australia. This is to help individuals looking at migrating to Australia in specific but the information at a higher level holds valid for countries that follow similar point-based skilled migration.

The information on this page may seem obsolete as there may be frequent changes to the immigration process however it helps to give you direction and specifically do’s and dont’s.

Additionally this blog will capture the process specifically for Indian citizens. This process may differ for citizens from other countries. Moreover I have a broad idea on the IT and medical skills assessments. However it is always recommended to hire professional services or do your own homework before proceeding (I do not endorse any agencies neither recommend them but its always better to use them incase you are unsure or would like to save on time).

Investment and Retirement Planning

Have you lately looked at your investments and ensured if you have planned your retirement effectively? Have you done any retirement planning at all? Do you have enough to live the current lifestyle when you retire?

These are one of a few questions that I ask people in their late twenties to understand and make them realize the importance of ‘Retirement Planning’. Lately I’ve come across many people that either haven’t invested at all or not done them right. In this blog I talk about the importance of investments and retirement planning and how to manage your wealth.

Note: I’m NOT an expert in investments with neither a formal education nor career in it. I speak of my experience and an early start through which helped me learn how to quadruple your wealth and moreover based on inflation rates be able to foresee and set your retirement expectation.

Value the Little Things

Life is short… Too short I guess and in that span we learn, experience and feel too many things. We complain, we nag, we advice, we talk, we laugh, we cry, we hurt and get hurt, we dance, we sing, we pray, we run, we work; all too many moments in life are experienced and expressed through these basic emotions. All these human expressions so simple yet the building blocks of the time of our life. Yet we learn to complicate things – because we don’t like things being simple you know.

Power Yoga – The way of life

Well I had to write about this. I’ve been doing Power Yoga since about a year now (with a gap of 3-4 months in between due to a few personal commitments) and its proved to be just awesome. I might not be able to express in words how this has changed my life, but I’ll give it a shot.
